“In Tell Them Nothing, I explored restraint as a form of power. This mixed-media painting is built from many layered applications of acrylic, scraped and reworked until the surface becomes an archive of decisions — traces of gesture, revision, and erasure held inside a pale, nearly monochrome atmosphere. What appears minimal is actually dense with history: a quiet field carrying the weight of what has been touched, buried, and deliberately left unnamed.
This work is about what remains when narrative is stripped away — when the painting refuses to “perform” or explain itself. Texture becomes the primary voice, and silence becomes a kind of truth. Tell Them Nothing holds space for ambiguity, secrecy, and interiority: a landscape of withheld meaning, where the surface remembers everything, even when it speaks in a whisper.” ~AP
